Lyonite updates

Meaningful changes to what the tools do, how results are checked, and what their limits are. This is a curated record rather than a copy of every commit.

PDF Power Mode traces revisions, objects and signatures

The metadata viewer now has an optional read-only forensic workspace with validated xref history, object reachability, all discovered XMP packets, signature byte coverage, raw-byte provenance and local reference-PDF comparison.

Page-rebuilding tools now state their document-level limits

Merge, split, organize and delete-pages now warn when rebuilding pages can affect bookmarks, accessibility tags, forms, scripts, signatures or document metadata.

More reliable metadata reports and text extraction

Metadata actions now wait for the matching inspection, report uncertain verification honestly, and export every table column. PDF to Word now identifies image-only files instead of presenting an empty conversion as a success.

Metadata removal now checks earlier PDF revisions

The cleaner rebuilds PDFs with superseded revisions and reopens the result to count them again. We also published the fixture, commands and measured results.

Compression results and limitations are easier to verify

The compression report now explains readability, accessibility-tag and file-size results in plain language while retaining the underlying measurements.

Metadata tools tested against a public leak corpus

A public fixture now checks document properties, image GPS and EXIF, annotation authorship, attachments and embedded scripts. The same evidence is used to improve the viewer and remover.
