Screen renders PDF pages at 108 dpi, Print at 150 dpi and Maximum at 300 dpi. Higher resolution means more pixels and usually larger files. Images added directly keep their original pixel dimensions. The preview shows the selected page at the chosen settings; final download size is shown after conversion.
An image is a picture of a page, so selectable text, links, form fields and bookmarks do not survive. That is inherent to the format rather than a limitation of this tool. If you need the words, use PDF to Word, which extracts the text itself.
To build a PDF out of pictures instead — scans, photographs, screenshots — JPG to PDF puts them into one document in whatever order you arrange them.
Yes — one JPG per page, numbered in order. A one-page PDF downloads as a single JPG; anything longer downloads as a zip.
Yes. Open Image settings and choose PNG. PNG supports transparency and works well for flat graphics. JPG uses a white background and often creates smaller photographic images.
No. Every page is rendered locally by your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and closing the tab removes the file from memory.
