Changing the page count in metadata
PDF metadata reflects the actual page count. The only way to change it is to actually add or remove pages — which is exactly what this tool does.
The contract is a PDF, the receipt is a photo and your explanation is a text file. Add them together, or drop a ZIP, and each one becomes pages you can arrange into one PDF. Files from a ZIP come in filename order, so names like 01-contract.pdf and 02-receipt.jpg save you some dragging.
Notes stay text. TXT keeps its paragraphs and line breaks; Markdown keeps headings, lists, links, code blocks and tables. Both become real, selectable text in the PDF, not a screenshot, and you can choose paper size, orientation and margins for them. If a character isn’t in the bundled font, the tool tells you before it exports.
Tables and pictures. CSV and TSV values are printed as text (formulas are not calculated); long tables continue onto further pages and wide ones in labelled groups of columns. A multi-page TIFF adds all its pages, and an animated image adds its first frame.
Use the smaller tool when it fits. If whole files in the right order is all you need, Merge PDF is quicker. For photos with set page sizes and margins, use JPG to PDF.
Can I add blank pages to an existing PDF?
Yes. Click Add Blank to append a blank page, then drag it to the position you want. The tool uses the size of the first available source page as the default blank-page size.
Do bookmarks and page numbering survive reordering?
Yes. Bookmarks follow their pages to wherever you drag them, and roman or lettered front matter keeps numbering the way it did. A bookmark whose page you deleted is removed rather than left aiming at whatever moved into that slot. Links inside the document follow their pages too, and form fields can still be filled in. Accessibility tags do not carry over, because they describe the whole original document.
Does reordering pages affect quality?
At Original quality, Lyonite copies existing PDF pages without rasterizing or intentionally recompressing them. Optional compression can change image quality. The output PDF is rebuilt, though, so an existing digital signature will no longer validate.
How is this different from the Rotate tool?
Each page has quick rotate controls, and the Rotate PDF tool focuses specifically on fixing page orientation across a document. This organizer is a superset — it includes rotation plus reordering, deletion, duplication, and adding blank pages.
