PDF files contain hidden information like author names, creation dates, software used, and sometimes location data. Before sharing documents professionally or publicly, removing this metadata protects your privacy. Editing metadata lets you properly attribute documents or update outdated information.

Common PDF metadata includes: Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Creation Date, Modification Date, Creator (software used), Producer, and custom properties. Some PDFs also contain XMP metadata with even more detailed information.

No. We physically cannot access your files. All processing happens in your browser's local memory. Our servers never receive, store, or have any access to your documents. This is a fundamental architectural decision, not just a policy.

Since processing happens in your browser, the limit depends on your device's available memory. Most devices can handle files up to 100MB without issues. Very large files (500MB+) may be slow on older devices.

No. There is no cap, no counter, and nothing that resets at midnight. Process as many files as you like.

The tools run in your browser, so serving them costs us almost nothing — there is no upload, no processing queue and no storage on our side to pay for. That is what makes free sustainable.

The web tools are intended to stay free. If we ever charge for anything it would be a separate offline app, not a lock on something that works for free today.
