Lyonite is a focused set of free PDF tools built to work on your device, without accounts or document uploads. The tools, tests and corrections are published by a named maintainer.
Why this exists
You know the drill. You need to quickly edit a PDF property or remove some metadata before sharing. You search online and find tools that either upload your files to unknown servers, require account creation, or hide basic features behind paywalls.
I got tired of that, so I built the tools I needed: PDF tools that run in your browser. Your files never leave your device. There is no account or upload step.
Lyonite is maintained by one developer and registered to 102040291 Saskatchewan Ltd. The tools are currently free, with no ads, subscriptions or daily quota.
“Well” is a word every site on this list uses, so we publish the measurements instead. In August 2026 we built a test file with a GPS-tagged photo, a named reviewer’s comment and an embedded script hidden in it, ran it through seven metadata removers, and published what came back. Ours failed too, until we fixed it. The test file and the checker are public, so you can run them on us.

I build and test Lyonite’s PDF tools. The same name appears on the Tested reports so you can see who ran a measurement and who has an interest in the result. Test fixtures, methods and corrections are linked from each report where they are available.

We listen
A PDF feature you wish existed, a bug, a file one of our tools got wrong, or a number in our tests you think is unfair — all of it goes to the same address, and it is read by the people who wrote the code.
You get a reply within 48 hours. If you found something we got wrong, we publish the correction with the date and the credit on it.
